Dance trapeze or ‘single point’ trapeze is a great way to start your aerial practice or to supplement your existing practice. The trapeze bar provides a stable base while the ropes, hung from one point and typically on a swivel, form a ‘V’ and allow the aerialist to climb, wrap, create shapes, and invert. You will recognize many sling and lyra skills as they appear on the dance trapeze. Dance trapeze is a compelling and popular apparatus for aerial acrobatics and contemporary dance. This class is appropriate for beginners as well as more experienced students. With two coaches, we can teach at your level and offer many modifications.
Pre-Requisite: No previous experience is required although some experience with the circus arts can be helpful. Age 16 and up.
