Drop-in classes are great but the fastest way to progress is through consistency! This 3-week series is designed for students with some sling experience as well as students who are more advanced and working toward L2 (intermediate) sling. In this series, we add on to the base positions for sling and begin to incorporate more wraps, shapes, and combinations of skills. We will also focus on building inversion strength through drills and skills/tricks that contain hidden conditioning elements.
Sling classes are a great way to get strong while having fun. Each class begins with a sling-specific warm-up designed to prepare the body for aerial work. Instruction will be directed to your level of experience and strength while covering the basic concepts/positions in sling acrobatics.
Class dates: 10/3, 10/10, 10/17/2024*
Pre-Requisite: Prior experience required. Must be able to enter and exit catchers climb on your own. Must know how to straddle invert, enter hip hang, hip key, butterfly, and be comfortable standing in the sling. Must be able to hold a bent arm lock off for 10 seconds.
*Should you need to miss one night of the series we have some options to make up the class. You can apply credit to a solo private lesson or, if experience allows, train on your own during open studio time or credit for an aerial yoga class. Only one makeup session per month is allowed.
**Must give advanced notice for missed classes. No-shows are not eligible for make-up options.
