Introduction to Aerial Fabric/Aerial Acrobatics – Silks
Come learn the foundations of aerial fabric/aerial acrobatics in a small-group setting with this beginner-level class! This class is designed for the newer aerial arts student, or those who are learning to get more confident on the silks. In each class, you will get a great full-body workout as you learn proper technique and build skills like climbing, foot locks, and executing poses in a progressive manner. You will be challenged according to your current strength-level along with building core and upper body strength.
Training in aerial silks is an exciting and effective way to build strength and flexibility while having fun. Whether you are new to aerial fabric, or train in other aerial modalities, cross training in aerial silks can enhance your skills on your favorite circus apparatus. Each class begins with a silks specific warm-up designed to prepare the body for aerial work. Currently, class size is limited to 3 students in order to adhere to our COVID safety precautions. Each student will have their own dedicated fabric and landing mat.
Class dates: 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10/20.
Pre-Requisite: NONE! Come fly with us! While not required, class experience enhanced by being in good physical condition, having an open and flexible attitude, and most importantly, a sense of humor and passion for learning.
