Testimonials

My first class at CT Aerial Yoga was on the aerial hoop. I am now taking aerial yoga and aerial sling classes too. This is the first time that I have felt passionate about movement and exercise practices that are not about losing weight or associated with having a certain body type. I showed up, tried new things, gained strength, and listened to my body when I needed to rest and refocus. I am so excited to take more classes, to get stronger and learn more!

Jayne was awesome – so patient and accepting – she helped us become more comfortable with the inversions, each one at our own pace and with any needed modifications – we were even able to all do hand stands! And this was my husband’s first yoga experience! We would definitely do this again – and have brunch afterwards! My back feels so terrific – another bonus! Try it – you’ll be amazed!

I thought the class would be really hard and I wouldn’t be able to do most postures. It was easy to find each pose and I enjoyed inversions in a whole new way. I can see how I will be able to build muscle and strength while also having fun.

Aerial yoga is liberating. Forget about the limits of the mat and delve into the most challenging of inversions with grace and ease. I was amazed at what I could do. It was exciting and safe at the same time. If you love Savasana, you’ll love it even more in the cradled comfort of your own fabric cocoon.

Jessa Audet, aerial arts instructor. After a lifelong love for the circus, Jessa began her journey with aerials in 2015 at the Aircraft Aerial Arts in Somerville, MA. As her passions for the aerial arts grew, she expanded her training and began to focus on performance opportunities. In 2017, she moved to Colorado where she enrolled at Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance Studio in Boulder. The school’s heavy focus on performance based choreography truly helped to develop her confidence and artistry and provided the opportunity to add many traditional and invented apparatuses to her repertoire. Jessa graduated from the Frequent Flyers Intensive Training program in 2019, which solidified her foundation as a multi-faceted aerialist/choreographer, and provided her with numerous performance experiences.  Jessa is certified in lyra and silks through the Born To Fly™ Aerial Teacher Training program. As a self-proclaimed aerial theory nerd, Jessa sought to turn her love of sharing skills and techniques with others into an aerial teaching career and continues to perform and share her depth of knowledge with aerial students around the country.

Hilary Vece, sling instructor. Hilary’s first taste of aerial came in 2017 at Trapeze School New York (TSNY)-DC. When the stars aligned, she began her serious  aerial training in 2022 at Monarca in Flight in Falls Church, VA, with a primary focus on soft apparatus. After relocating to Connecticut, she continued to train aerial silks and sling. When feeling adventurous she will train straps. She completed her certification sling training through Spin City in 2025.

Aerial provides Hilary with an outlet for physical and mental rejuvenation and she is excited to share her passion and enthusiasm for aerial with the CAY community. When she isn’t in the air, she can be found at home with her son Blake.
