Preparing for Aerial Yoga/Aerial Arts Class

  • We provide yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets. You may bring your own mat and props if preferred.
  • Wear tight-fitting pants that cover knees (prevents chaffing and preserves fabric hammock)
  • Wear clothes that cover the armpits and midriff
  • Dress in layers as the temperature in the studio varies, if you perspire heavily, please bring a towel or extra shirt
  • Use the appropriate mat for the activity. Yoga mat for aerial yoga. Sling, lyra, trapeze, and silks classes require mats which are provided
  • Arrive 15 minutes early for class. Late arrivals will not have the opportunity to have their hammock adjusted for their height and this will detract from your enjoyment of the class. If arriving more than 10 minutes after class starts you may be prevented from taking class, at the instructor’s discretion.
  • Absolutely no chemical fragrance
  • Remove all jewelry (earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, fit bits). Body piercings that come into contact with the equipment must be taped. No clothing with zippers, hooks, or anything that could tear the fabric or your skin. Nails must be trimmed
