ADULT CIRCUS SERIES: Beginner Sling Series (3-Wks) WEST HARTFORD STUDIO

“Sling” is the name we use for our circus-style class. This class is more effortful than aerial yoga and focuses on acrobatics.

This 3-week series is designed for beginner-level circus students or those who want to review our level 1 curriculum. Utilizing the Born to Fly Curriculum, developed by Rebekah Leach, you will learn intelligent progressions, hidden conditioning, and numerous skills (we have over 100 skills in beginner/level 1) that will allow you to master this exciting art form. This series is designed to be taken multiple times, creating a solid foundation and diverse repertoire in sling acrobatics. This form of aerial acrobatics is also known as aerial dancing. Find grace, ease, and strength to move in the air with this dynamic practice.

Sling classes are a great way to get strong while having fun. Each class begins with a sling-specific warm-up designed to prepare the body for aerial work. The class size is limited to 6 students. Instruction will be tailored to your level of experience and strength, while covering the basic concepts and positions in sling acrobatics.

Class dates: 5/4, 5/11, 5/18/26

Pre-Requisite: It is recommended, but not required, that you take our introduction to sling class.

Please note, this class is NOT yoga. Aerial yoga classes are offered on Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm in our Hartford studio.
